Measure the initial temperature. Shake the bottle (5 seconds). Measure the final temperature.

The bottle is handed to a
random person who should
measure and pass it on to the
person sitting on his/her right
saying his/her name.
Initial Temperature
Thermometer – Procedure
The second person should shake the bottle
(5 seconds) say his/her name and pass it on.
This process continues until the last person.
At the end the temperature is measured.

• Inside the bottle we have our lead balls.• When you shake the bottle, balls will move much faster so
its kinetic energy is greater. • Moving faster there will be more clashes between them
resulting in more heat. • We measure this heat through collisions between particles
inside the bottle and at the end by measuring the thermometer that will register a higher value.
