Industry Leading Polypropylene Pipe and Fittings System on the market today.

F.W. Webb Introduces a Revolutionary New Piping System

Available for the first time in the Northeast exclusively through F.W. Webb Company.

PP-RCT Piping

PP-RCT Pipe and Fittings Systemfor commercial, institutional and industrial applications

The NIRON PP-RCT piping system conveys water, air and other substances with the highest degree of integrity. Find it in use around the world in apartments, dormitories, hotels, hospitals, offices, manufacturing facilities, schools, and similar buildings.

The innovative NIRON system is used in place of copper and steel at a lower installed cost. NIRON offers all the stability of metallic pipe, such as limited thermal expansion, but is lightweight and easy to install. It goes in quickly, compared to traditional piping, and reduces the need for heavy equipment. A choice of simple yet highly effective fusion options produces tight seals that resist leakage or deterioration under duress or with age.

Made with Advanced Beta Crystalline Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PP-RCT) in an innovative multi-layering production process, NIRON pipe is exceptionally strong. It is manufactured to the highest industry standards* and is technologically superior to copper, steel and other types of thermoplastic piping. NIRON PP-RCT has the longest tested lifespan of any piping system on the market.

Developed in Europe more than 30 years ago and in wide use globally, the NIRON piping system is now available for the first time in the U.S. through the F.W. Webb Company.

F.W. Webb is providing NIRON installation training and certification to customers, along with job spec'ing and project quoting.

The multi-layer construction of NIRON pipes includes an innovative fiberglass resin core. It reduces thermal expansion close to that of copper piping, enhances energy efficiency, and provides a noise barrier.

The NIRON AdvantageThe revolutionary properties and features of the NIRON piping system allow installers to use it in place of copper and steel piping with less difficulty and cost, great flexibility, and more benefits.

Reliability: NIRON is extremely stable • Low thermal expansion • Corrosion and abrasion resistance• Fire resistant and low toxicity• Low-noise insulation options

Durability: Handles demanding conditions• Chilled water to near boiling temperatures • High-pressure rated at high temps; up to double

of standard PPR• Exceptionally high flow rates and velocities• Above and underground applications

Wide Application: Moves various elements and substances• Water: potable, chilled, recycle, glycol and brine• Chemical fluids• Compressed air• Geothermal

Ease of Installation: NIRON is lightweight and versatile• Simple yet precise joining methods • No traditional arc welding • Less material waste • Up to 50% faster installation than metallic pipe • Compatible with other pipe materials

Cost Savings: Versus metallic pipe• Lower costs: time, labor, materials • Less construction waste • Requires less or no additional insulation • Far more energy efficient

Longevity: Enjoys a long life• Estimated life span of 100+ years when tested

in hot chlorinated water• 30-year warranty

NIRON leads the industry with four easy-to-execute joining techniques for fast, accurate installation – more than any plastic piping system on the market. In each method, a tight seal can be achieved without filler material. F.W. Webb sells the tools and equipment for all four options, and provides access to training and certification for professional installation customers.

Electrofusion is the most innovative method available. Electrofusion fittings molded with built-in resistance wire generate heat when voltage is applied to weld together the pipe, valves and fittings. Electrofusion can be activated manually or automatically by barcode scanning. It is available as a complete system in sizes through 6", and sizes through 24" using couplings.

Socket Fusion is the most common method of joining polypropylene pipe, valves and fittings. In socket fusion, connection is achieved with heat fusion from a heating element. It is available as a complete system in sizes up to 5".

Butt Welding uses a combination of heat and pressure to join the full line of NIRON pipe, valves and fittings (½"- 40"). Heating elements are applied with pressure at the location of the joint until the specified bead height is reached.

Compression Connection is a manual joining technique, using fittings that can be hand-tightened using a filter-type wrench for ½"- 4" pipe. It works well for repairs and quick connects.
