Registration Of Pesticide In Pakistan Is Controlled By The Agricultural Pesticide Ordinance Of 1971.

OLD SYSTEM OF REGISTRATION.According To The Pesticides Ordinance Of 1971, Pesticides Were Only Permitted To Be Registered Under Form-1.

AMENDMENTS IN THE ORDINANCE .• Various Amendments Have Been Made

Time To Time In The Ordinance Since Its Implementation In 1971.

2 MAJOR AMENDMENTS.In 1993, Two More Systems For Registration Of Pesticides

Were Added To The Agricultural Pesticides Ordinance.

• FORM-16: Under Generic Name.• (Trials Not Required)

• FORM - 1: Under Brand Name.• (Trials Required)

• Registration Is Granted In The Name Of The Applicant. Name Of The Manufacturer Is Also Mentioned In The Certificate.

Pesticides Permitted To Be Applied For Registration:

•New Molecules.•Pesticides Not Registered Under Form-1.•Pesticides Not Registered under Form-16.

Requisites / Documents To Be Arranged By The Manufacturer.

(Pesticide must be Registered under a Brand Name in the Manufacturer’s Country)

1) Registration Certificate of the Pesticide from the Agri. Dept. of the Manufacturer’s Country.

2) Letter form the Manufacturer appointing us as their Sole Agent for the Product in Pakistan.

3) Letter of Authorization to the Applicant for Registration,Import & Marketing of the Pesticide.

4) Chemical Composition /Recipe of Tech. & Formulated Grades.

5) Certificate of Specification.

6) In case the Manufacturer is from a Non-OECD member Country, Proof of its use & Registration in 1 OECD Country or China.

7) Technical Data & Analytical Methods as per the requirement in the Prescribed Form & Combined Toxicity in case of Mixture.

REQUISITES TO BE ARRANGED BY THE APPLICANT.

•Registration Fees:Pak RS. 25,000/- to be submitted as the Fee for the Registration of the Pesticide.•Duly filled Prescribed Form-17.•Draft Label.•Copy of the Certificate of Inspection of Storage & Re-packing Facilities.•Undertaking to state that the Details of Imports & Deliveries be supplied to the Government.

RENEWAL OF THE REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE.

• Form-17 & Form-16: Valid For 3 Years From The Date Of Granting Registration.

• Form-1: Valid Till The 30th. June Of The 3rd.Year of Granting Registration.

REQUISITES FOR THE RENEWAL OF REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE .

• Fee Of RS. 5000/- For The Renewal Of Registration .• Prescribed Form-3.• First Page of Original Registration Certificate.• For Any Change In Registration Certificate Fee of RS.

1000/- Is To Be Submitted Supported By The Requisite Documents By Manufacturer As Per The Requirement Of The Department.
