The layered Architecture intends to transcend from more than just a building, to a sculpture, a landmark, an iconic center for
exchange and positive interactions.
Papua New Guinea Embassy and representative offices. Inclusive of a PNG Cultural Center, Ballrooms, meeting rooms and Lease-able office levels.

kalawa hotel The client requested an iconic addi-tion to Palangka Raya, as a center for tourism and entertainment. They also requested for the design to be energy smart.
We used the series of rooms as a wall to create a curved facade, that allowed
natural light into the corridors. To reduce heat gain, the western facade is shadowed by specially angled canopies. Another idea was to create two hotel segments, that allow one segment to be shut down and conserve energy bills during off peak seasons.

We worked closely with the Sofyan brand of hotel chains and the operations sector of the business. Our shared objectives were to create vibrant and attractive places of comfort.

kemayoran mix useThe urban park is not a new architectural con-cept. Our vision was to explore the potential of an inner city park. We developed many scenari-os of positive user experiences around an urban park land.
