You are not logged in and Data retrieval error

    Errors

Several minutes after starting a complex query, report,or chart in Analytics, an error messageYou are notlogged in or Data retrieval erroris displayed.

There are a two known causes of this problem.

    1. On some end-user systems, a registry key has beenset that specifies a timeout that limits how long thebrowser will wait to receive a response. If thistimeout is specified and is too short to allow PROSPricing Solution Suite to process the request, theerror will occur. There are two possible places thatthis registry key may be specified:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

    or

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

If both are specified, the value inHKEY_CURRENT_USER takes precedence. In eitherof these registry keys, a DWORD Value namedReceiveTimeout may specify the timeout inmilliseconds.

If this the case in your environment, PROS

recommends changing the timeout value to a largervalue, for example 1800000 (30 minutes) to avoidthe timeout error. Another alternative is removingthe registry setting to allow the default setting ofone hour to take effect.

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/181050formore information. (Note that although this MicrosoftKnowledge Base article indicates that it does notapply to MicrosoftInternet Explorer6.xand 7.x,PROS has confirmed that it does apply.)

    2. Another possible cause of this error is that yourenvironment has configured a firewall or proxy thatis monitoring communications between the end-

user browser and the PPSS application server, and

that firewall or proxy has a timeout specified thatterminates the connection when a request is notprocessed within that timeout.

If this is the case in your environment, you canchange the firewall or proxy configuration toincrease the timeout to 30 minutes or longer toavoid the timeout error.

    Analytics

    SPRT04853 DEV107613 PopulatePxInputCondData Task

There is improved performance of thePopulatePxInputCondData task.

    Execution

    DEV 107664 StackOverflowError Message

The StackOverflowError message is no longer displayedwhen copying a strategy for which the price domaincannot be determined.

    Execution

SPRT04932 DEV107847 Hidden Flags Are Reset When Deleting a Strategy

    Element

Now, when deleting a strategy element, the hidden flagsof other elements are not reset.

    Execution

SPRT05119 DEV108558 User Interface Performance Improvement

There is improved performance of the user interface fora user who is assigned a workteam with multiple leveldefinitions.

    Execution

DEV109352 Enable the User to Change a Version's Start and EndDates

If the end date of a deal is earlier than the current date, the user is unable to update the deal. The current rules

for updating the dates of a deal prevent the user fromchanging the start and end dates of the deal. To avoidthis limitation, the user should select an end date for adeal that will safely cover the negotiation period. Theuser can complete negotiation, and then change the enddate to the current deal end date.

    Execution

DEV109354 Copying a Deal with Different Start and End Dates DoesNot Affect the Copied Line Items Dates

When a deal is copied, the dates of the copied line itemsremain unchanged; those dates are not changed to thedates of the set for the new deal. To change thesedates, the user must open the deal, and then change thedates of each line item to the dates of the new deal.

Note:The strategies selected for each line item on thecopied deal may not be valid for the new date range.Because of this, when the dates for the line item arechanged, a price may not be calculated for this line item.
