For this reason it is important to choose the right location, guests, music and celebrant.

Location• With an outdoor location it is important to have a

PA available so that all guests can hear the words being said throughout the ceremony and be a part of your special day!

• It is also important to book your outdoor space with your local council and check they are ok with using PA systems.

• And, in the unlikely event of unfortunate weather, you should have a contingency venue nearby, perhaps no more than 10-15kms away that everyone can make their way to easily so you can continue without a hitch!!!

Styling of the ceremony and photography

• We all know how important those photos are so it is important that the quality of the lectern, the book being read from and equipment used throughout the ceremony matches your vision.

• I supply professional and quality equipment and throughout the ceremony feel it is important to be slightly away from the couple instead of the traditional (in the middle of), so as I, the celebrant, am not in the center of all your photos/videos and the important couple are the center of attention.

Optional Rituals

• There are various ways in adding different dimensions to your wedding but some of the optional rituals I can offer may make your experience personalised and unique.

• You may want to honour someone special who is no longer with you by a candle, you may want to follow a cultural ritual of serving each other tea or sharing wine. It may be something religious or symbolic, or special to you both.

• I can assist you in adding some of these unique touches to your ceremony to make it more memorable for you.

• The paperwork:o The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be completed and lodged

with your celebrant no more than 18 months from your wedding and no sooner than 1 calender month from the proposed date.• *Shortening of time/Age requirements• *Original documents required• *Translations if necessary

o The declaration of no Legal Impediment to Marriage will be completed at the rehearsal just before the wedding• *Previous marriages/divorces etc paperwork• Form 15 and lodging the forms

o Changing of your name• *12 months for passports• *Marriage certificate to Medicare/transport etc for change of name

• Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. There is every chance you may know a celebrant or work with one, or know someone who knows one, perhaps even a relative, however this is your special day and it should go off without a glitch.

• Someone close to you, a work mate or an aunt or uncle may not be the right choice for this particular occasion.

• Don’t be pressured into using anybody you are not 100% happy with and are sure will deliver a professional ceremony that enhances such a special and memorable occasion.
