Android is an open source operating system,developed by Android Inc. and bought by Google 2005 specifically for use on mobile devices.Powered by Linux operating system.

Android is a mobile device platform on the LinuxKernel version 2.6Can be programmed in C/C++ but most appdevelopment is done in Java.
