First Liebherr Generation 6 bulldozer in Serbiain use at the Javno Komunalno Preduzece Sopot
Job Report
PR 736 LGPCrawler Tractor
SituationThe Public Utility Company for the Municipality of Sopot is, since its foundation in 1967, the first choice in road construction on the teritory of the local municipality of Sopot - one of the municipalities of the city of Belgrade. Beside of road construction main activities are the operation of land fill sites and wide range of public utilities.
TaskFor developing a new storage area, the construction of a 10 m wide access road through forest undergrowth and bush was part of the project. Therefore moving of topsoil, bushes, smaller trees and other vegetation- on flat ground as well as on slight slopes - was necessary. For best utilization the machine should be used seventy percent for the construction of the country roads- up to fifty kilometer per year. Thirty percent of the time the machine should be operated as a landfill dozer.
SolutionAs the optimum solution for the task at hand the municipality decided for a Liebherr PR 736 L dozer as the first Generation 6 dozer operated in Serbia. To ensure optimal pushing per-formance and maximum versatility, the PR 736 was equipped with a long ”L“ undercarriage and a semi-U-blade with 7.27 yd³.

The highest possible level of efficiency:The newly developed Semi-U-blade with 7.27 yd³ of blade capacity is designed for an easy penetration and material flow to maximise the output. All new Generation 6 dozers have electronic drive control with integrated Eco function. This gives the driver the choice between high performance and maximum fuel efficiency, whereby the system automatically ensures economical operation of all drivetrain components. Thus results in a very low fuel consumption and small carbon footprint - important for an environmental friendly operation and fits perfectly to the customers main statement ”thinking of tomorrow“.
Powerful and reliable:A further innovation is the proactive power adjustment. Active engine management results in faster response times as well as a noticeable higher output.
A comfortable and safe workplace:The PR 736 cabin has been developed from scratch: The ergonomically designed joysticks can be adjusted to meet the driver's needs. The optimum travel speed can be freely preselected and, if desired, also be saved for fast retrieval. Intuitive control elements allow less experienced drivers safe and efficient operation of the dozer. This way, the truck drivers on site can run the dozer too, if need be. The touch-controlled display for Liebherr earthmoving machines is now also being used in the PR 736 bulldozer. On the touch screen, the driver can set important operating parameters like travel drive response, activate the Eco mode, or operate the air conditioning.
Easy maintenance and low operating costs:Centralised maintenance points, wide-opening access doors and engine compartment doors, a standard tiltable operator's cab and a cooling fan optionally hinged for easy cleaning enable fast maintenance access and easy service of the new PR 736. In direct discussion, the operator especially emphasized the high performance of the machine, the low fuel consumption and the easy of operation. The Site Manager is amazed and considers the new PR 736 Litronic to be exactly the machine the customer needed. A really good investment.
