1 Tuesday 20 th August 2013 On August 24th and 25th, the last of eight dates of the current Boulder World Cup will be held under the glass roof at the Munich Olympic Stadium. Organized for the fourth consecutive year, the Munich final event is already considered a classic by both the audience and athletes alike. Following the success of previous years, this year’s participation is expected to be the largest yet; more than 160 athletes from 20 different countries have already registered and more than 15,000 spectators are expected. The Munich Olympic Stadium is a first- class venue, for both aesthetic and functional reasons; a large glass roof covers the entire event venue, including the bouldering walls and spectator area, allowing for optimal competitive conditions and gorgeous views in any weather. This final event in the IFSC World Cup Bouldering series will be a victory lap for Austrain Anna Stöhr, who after very strong performances in the first seven World Cup events has already guaranteed herself a spot on the top of the podium. The Men’s competition is a little more uncertain; the margin between the top 7 competitors is so small it could lead to some dynamic changes after the Final event. The qualification rounds will begin on Saturday, August 24 th at 10:00a.m. (GMT+2). The semi-finals in Munich start on Sunday, August 25 th at 12:30p.m. The final showdown will take place starting at 6.30 p.m. the same day.
