PRACTICALEXAMS FUELING PROCEDURES Fueling Procedures Objective: Ensure that the Line Service Specialist demonstrates understanding and ability to safely refuel aircraft. Fueling aircraft is the basis of the line service specialist’s job and requires vigilance everyday on the part of the line service professional. Although this vigilance will most likely be evident during the practical exam, you should reaffirm this responsibility as a required part of the line service specialist’s safe job performance on a daily basis. The practical exam for fueling will include aircraft that are typically representative of your FBO’s flight line, including both based and transient aircraft. Please choose your most challenging aircraft for the different types of aircraft to be used in the refueling process. If you do not service all of these different types of aircraft, please indicate on the paperwork that this is not applicable to your operation with your signature. As the line service specialist commences with fueling, observe the procedures for safety and accuracy. As the job is being performed, the line service specialist should explain both what and why s/he is doing certain procedures. If any task is performed incorrectly, the examiner should provide training on the spot until the task can be performed with 100% accuracy. Future retesting should take place when the examiner feels the applicant is ready. PRACTICAL EXAM: FUELING PROCEDURES • NATA SAFETY 1 ST PROFESSIONAL LINE SERVICE TRAINING • ©2007 Page 1 of 6
