Operate your own trading desk, trade live across asset classes in real time, whilst linked to Amplify

Trading in Canary Wharf, London.

This four-week programme is a unique offer by AKAD for you to apply your financial market knowledge in

live financial markets with the help, tutoring and support from experienced professionals in London. You

will be trained to execute your trades in bond, equity and currency futures such as the German Bund,

The DAX index and EUR/USD as macroeconomic news, economic data, and behavioural finance drive

price volatility throughout each day.

This is a real advantage to gain an understanding of how markets actually work on a day by day basis,

complementing economic theory you may have learned from you academic studies. Your trading

decisions are monitored and reviewed by the risk management team in London. From this experience

you will gain a key competitive advantage within the financial industry, using cutting edge real time

trading systems used by the major investment banks worldwide.

Practical Financial Market Training

1-4 Open Access• Students will have access to the trading room and trading terminal at any time throughout the four week period. At

the start of week 4, P&L accounts are re-set to +$100,000 as students compete to achieve the best trading performance within given risk protocols.

Quantitative Feedback

This is an example of a review given to a student at the end of each week. Students are monitored on their reward to risk using the Sharpe ratio and Trade expectancy. Amplify Trading currently works with HSBC and Bank of America to provide similar feedback for the Investment Bank’s new graduates.

Lecturers and Traders

Amplify Trading’s aim is to provide a crucial practical skill-set for those looking to build their experience

and knowledge in the field of finance and economics.

The course will be led by Amplify Trading’s Head of Trading Piers Curran, an experienced and well

• For the duration of the program interns will be provided with cutting edge technology with a real-time

trading platform with access to markets across all the main asset classes.

• Interns will be linked to the live trading room and receive all the breaking news and economic data

releases by audio, text and live video through sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters and DowJones

Newswires.
