A visit to the bookshopA visit to the bookshopA visit to the bookshopA visit to the bookshop

On Monday, Jess wanted to visit a bookshop to buy a

present for her mum’s birthday on Saturday. Jess’s mum

likes to cook, so Jess wanted to find a good cookbook for

her.

After school, Jess went to the bookshop as quickly as she could. She

did not want to miss her bus.

“Have you got any good cookbooks?” she asked the man at the

shop.

“Yes”, he said. “The cookbooks are all over there on the wooden

shelf by the door.”

Jess went to the wooden shelf and saw the cookbooks. She looked

at lots and then saw one with nice pictures. She bought it for her

mum and hid it in her bag so her mum would not see it.

Then Jess went to the bus stop. She was just in

time to catch the bus.
