Greek Yogurt and Peach Parfait - 2013 : The Test Kitchen

If you don't have time for a leisurely breakfast at home,

don't thaw the peaches; just layer them with the other

ingredients in a jar. By the time you . . . (continued pg. 4)

Test out the mixture on a leaf of the plant, let it sit over-

night, then spray the rest of the plant if you don’t notice

any adverse effects. Spray the mixture on the foliage of

garden plants that are susceptible to these pests.

Dusting your plants with plain talcum powder repels flea

beetles on tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and other plants.

Insecticides may be used early in the season, but are gen-

erally unnecessary in the control of flea beetles on adult

plants. Be extra diligent if your soil has history of bacterial

diseases. Please contact your local Co-operative or nurse-

ry for further advice.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

This has certainly been an interesting spring so far! Many thanks to our loyal members

for your patience, understanding and support over the past few months. Things are

finally beginning to slowly open up so we will be keeping an eye on how things are

progressing.

Seeding is winding down for this year and the crops are looking good. We could use

some rain in a few areas, but not the 6 inches that some received a few weeks ago!

Sales are up in all of our three location and the staff has been kept busy serving

customers. Our Ag team has moved a lot of fertilizer and seed product from the main

Ag site. There have been a few glitches on the system but, overall, things have been

running pretty smoothly.

Currently there are several active covid-19 cases in Manitoba with no-one in hospital.

We are lucky enough to be one of the few places with low numbers of people affected.

We continue to work with Management and Staff to make it as safe as possible for our

members at each of our locations.

In closing, I would like to express my thanks to the Management Team and Staff for

getting us through another spring. Many thanks also to our valued members for their

support during these challenging times. And now onto the next stage in the growing

season.

Cheers .
