Our Japan Churches of Christ have taken care of their own. Keiko Kimura, the faithful
of Tetsuaki, Minister of the
Nakaburi

a
two-year battle against

contributed
to
p share the
burden.
At first she
received
a
kind
of Chemo-therapy and finally submitted
t

heard she

prayers of all who
rallied to
help.

Our
Junior High Classes
presented the
drama
of
The
Good
Samaritan at our Christmas pr
gram.
Many of our friends have been asking why we Americans are s o anxious to reach out t
assist
other
nations such as
Kuwait and Saudia
Arabia. We
were reminded
of
an
incident that
happened
years
ago when
we
were
in Kagoshima City.
Five hundred
homes
were wiped
out by fi
one cold
night,just
two
miles
from our home. We talked
with
a
neighbor
lady about how
terr
it was. I asked her where
we might take cloth ing or blankets
or
money to share
with
the
hom
less. The lady replied, Oh, we need
not
worry
about them. They are in a different ward fr
us.
Remembering this experience I thought how very necessary the Samaritan story is and ho
it needs to be repeated again and again in this land.
