The research committee has actively engaged in the institutes research and extension

activities during the academic year 2017-18. The progress of the work can be gauged by the

fact that the staff and students of P.V.P. College have made steady progress in various aspects

of research such as in obtaining recognition as research guides, obtaining research grants from

various funding agencies, number of papers published / presented, awards, honors and

distinctions, such as chairing technical session at conferences, citation of appreciation and

many more. The details are presented with quantitative figures as below.

10. AVISHKAR Zonal level and University level activity

Many teachers have submitted proposals for BCUD and also for Minor and Major

research projects. Research Committee encouraged students to participate in Avishkar leading

to a very warm response from undergraduate and postgraduate students. As many as 10

different groups of students from UG, PG and Teacher category of Arts, Science and

Commerce participated at the University Research Festival Avishkar. The talks arranged by

the committee on research project selection and planning helped students to take up research

projects and present at the festival. Details of participants are as below.

The above selected candidate present for University Level AVISHKAR-2017 research

competition scheduled on 02 January, 2018 at Department of Commerce, Savitribai Phule Pune

University Pune - 411007.

The “ORIENTATION WORKSHOP for AVISHKAR 2017” was sponsored by

BCUD, S.P. Pune university and organized by P.V.P. College Pravaranagar on Thursday, 5th

October 2017 in Seminar hall, central library building. There were 109 students, ARCs and

teachers participants registered from affiliated colleges of S. P. P. U. of Ahmednagar district

zone II (covering Rajur, Akole, Sangamner, Rahata, Kopargaon, Pathardi and Rahuri tahsil).

The inauguration was by the auspicious hands of resource persons Dr. D. M. Gujarathi,

Sangamner College Sangamner and Dr. A. A. Kulkarni from Ahmednagar College

Ahmednagar in presence of president of the function hon. Principal Dr. P.M. Dighe at 11a.m.

The students and faculty of P.V.P. College were also present for the function.

In this scheduled workshop both the resource persons have explained and gave

information about AVISHKAR concept, vital importance, rules and regulations for

participation in this competition. They have included power point presentation, different

devices related examples and flex boards during their speech. Both have shared their

experience as expert examiner and research guide for this competition. The healthy discussions

among the participants will be beneficial through various angles for the participants.

Hospitability was good for them. Participants were issued certificate of participation.

Dr. Sali N.D. Asso. Prof. Dept of Electronics have received “The Best Poster

Presentation Award” in the International conference ICNHW-2018 Organized in H.V. Desai

College Pune, Physics department during 1-3 February 2018.

11. The participation of students in various events and award winners in the same.

Organized in Abasaheb Garware College, Pune on 24th February 2018.Our student Ms.

Kajal Agre get 1st Prize, Mr. Sanchit Aher and Ms. Swapnali Pansare of B.Sc. Electronics has

been awarded with Consolation Prize in Project presentation competition IMAGINE18. They

received Certificate, Cash Prize and Trophy.

A NATIONAL LEVEL SOCIO-TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM

Organized in Pravara Rural Engineering College, Pravaranagar during 3-4th April

2018.Our student Ms. Harshal Kharde M.Sc. Chemistry and Mr. Sanchit Aher B.Sc.

Electronics has been awarded with2nd Prize in Project presentation competition PRECision18.

She received Certificate, Cash Prize and Trophy.

12. Research proposals.

During this academic year research committee motivate the teaching staff for preparing

and submission of minor research project proposal. Till date 26 minor research project

proposals were submitted to University research cell, SPPU, Pune for funding.

and Commerce College Beed on 1st September 2015. Students of our college have participated

Many teachers have submitted proposals for BCUD and also for Minor and Major

research projects. Research Committee encouraged students to participate in Avishkar leading

to a very warm response from undergraduate and postgraduate students. As many as 3 different

groups of students from UG, PG and Teacher category of Arts, Science and Commerce

participated at the University Research Festival Avishkar. The 1 project got short listed for

state level AVISHKAR-2014 competition is organized in Nagpur University during 21-23

January 2015.The talks arranged by the committee on research project selection and planning
