HezekiahHezekiah

Was a good King When he became King, he found

that the Israelites worshipped idols and the bronze serpent

The King burnt them and destroyed the altars of idols and stopped that worship.

He mended the Lord’s house, opened it and began to worship in it.

The kingdom flourished during his reign whether it was in the city or in the church

The Lord was pleased with him because of his fidelity so he made him overcome his enemies through many miraculous deeds.

His guardian angel killed 185,000 of his enemies when Assyria beseiged Jerusalem (2 Kings 18-19)

Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed.

As Isaiah was leaving the king, and before he could leave the central courtyard of the palace, the Lord told him to go back to Hezekiah and tell him that, “I have heard your prayer…I will let you live 15 more years. I will rescue you from the King of Assyria.”

When Hezekiah saw Isaiah coming back, he first thought that the Lord was displeased with his weeping through his prayers.

However, when he heard the news, he rejoiced. The entire Royal family and the servants of the palace were so happy.

They asked Isaiah, “What shall we do to the King? Shall we bring doctors?”

But Isaiah said, “The Lord will perform a miracle. Doctors cannot heal them. Put a paste made of figs on the boil and he will get well.”

Some doubted, while others were confident.

They put the paste made of figs on the boil and waited…AND???

HE was HEALED. He got well and the happiness in the kingdom increased.

The news was fulfilled. It came true

They were all surprised and praised the Lord.

The King got well, left his bed and begun to work as usual, serving the Lord until he died 15 years later.
