Sincere apologies that it has been

quite some time since my last

    update. The months of January

    an d Feb r u ary h av e b ee n

    unexpectedly busy yet excitingly

    life-giving! The entire month of

    January was dedicated to

mini str y pla nni ng for the

semester all while receivingfriends, siblings, and parents.

Even I was blessed to have

    received my own family, who

    rejuvenated me with

    s u p p o r t i v e

    encouragement

    from back home,

    familiar laughter

    and humor, and

    delicious food

    that one can only

    find from loving

parents. By the end of their trip, my mom

concluded that she wanted to work here with

me and after witnessing how well she shares

the Gospel, I am tempted to hire her. In

ministry, the semester unexpectedly started on

January 16 (the academic calendar is never

    trustworthy). Weve successfully re-started our

    weekly meetings (still student-led), weekly

I absolutely LOVE reading big, profound, make-my-head hurttheological books. But recently Ivediscovered that adding a little bit of fictioninto my reading diet has greatly helped calm mymind, lighten my mood, and bring back to life a child-like imagination I hadnt felt since the 6th grade. Althoughtime is still allotted for my bible and something theological,f i c t i o n has been a long-lost friend Ive dearly missed.

    evangelism, and social events.

The focus was on publicityand getting to know new

    students; and by Gods grace

we do have some new faces

    around! February was our

    STINT mid-year retreat, where

    we welcomed the STINT

    teams of El Salvador and

    Venezuela, and a team of

    feedback. Pictured left is the

    team with our amazing distant

    coaches DJ and Alisha

    Jenkins. They are a blessing.

    Lastly, we had an opportunity

to serve at an orphanage where

every child is HIV positive. I

    played the guitar, sang (sort

of), and loved on the kids asmuch as I could.
