Monthly Papal Intentions for June To better know “the concrete problems that trouble the

Universal Church, especially those of the missions,” the

Holy Father asks that his monthly intentions be “the object

of knowledgeable and responsible prayer on the part of the

    people of God.”

Universal Intention: That the aged, marginalized, and those

who have no one may find, even within the huge cities of

the world, opportunities for encounter and solidarity.

Intention for Evangelization: That seminarians and men

and women entering religious life may have mentors who

live the joy of the Gospel and prepare them wisely for their

    mission.

PRAY FOR VOCATIONS! “We boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.”

How do you hope to share in God’s glory… as a priest,

deacon, or in the consecrated life? Call Father Michel

Boehling, Vicar for Vocations at 804-359-5661 or email

    [email protected].

  • Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)

“Feed a Hungry Kid” Project In January 2016, the Virginia Middle School Alternative

Program lost its weekend backpack sponsor, leaving

children in that program in danger of having insufficient

food for the weekends. St. Anne’s stepped in and we now

provide each child in that program with a weekly backpack

that contains enough easy to prepare or ready to eat food for

the weekend. Won’t you please help us to continue helping

these children? St. Anne’s Social Ministry Committee is

raising money to continue to provide food backpacks for

these children. Your $10 donation will help us stock these

backpacks. Plan to stop by the TABLE in the Hallway by

the Great Room on the weekend of June 4/5 to make your

    $10 donation. THANK YOU!!

God’s abundant blessings and our best wishes to

    Johanna Morales & Curtis Montgomery

who were married here at St. Anne’s this weekend.

May they know of our prayers as they begin

    their lives together in Christ.

Living Our Mission…Thank you to all who have generously responded to the Living Our Mission Campaign.

As this bulletin goes to press, we are very close to making

our goal in pledges. Please consider making a pledge to this

campaign which will be of great benefit not only to our

diocese, but also to our parish in the years to come. If you

misplaced your pledge card, there are some available in the

commons. You can place your completed pledge card in the

Living Our Mission basket, which will be in the commons

    through June. Thank you!

Ordination to the Permanent Diaconate Steve Helmbrecht, St. Anne’s Director of Finance &

Development, will be ordained to the Permanent
