Precious Metal Testing Set AuroTest - ATS 400/LFK The precious metal testing set Aurotest - ATS 400/LFK is a fast, highly reliable, non- destructive and very easy to use authenticity analysis system for investment gold coins and bars of common trade sizes and weights from 1 g up to 1000 g fineness (for flat bars up to 10 mm thickness). Beside gold and gold alloys for investement purposes it can test silver (including common silver bars and alloyed silver coins), platinum, palladium and rhodium. The ATS 400/LFK utilizes a measure- ment of the specific electrical conductivity of precious metals by eddy currents in order to evaluate the authenticity of fine gold bars and gold coins. This method is based on the an- alysis of the bulk metallic properties and not just on the analysis of a very thin superficial layer such as in X-Ray fluorescence analysis (XRFA). The ATS 400/LFK eddy current sensors can penetrate closed plastic blisters, foils and capsules with a thickness of up to 2 mm for proper testing the metal inside. Be- side a main sensor in the head of a electronic base unit there are also three external sen- sors with different diameters and penetrations depths available and part of the delivery. There is no need any more to send coins or bars to any assayer or precious metals refinery for authenticity testing. With the ATS 400/LFK you can check by yourself the fineness and homogeneity of your samples within seconds or find our possible fakes. Commonly used X-Ray fluorescence analysis instruments (X-RFA) for that purpose can not detect hidden precious metal imitates beyond a decorative layer thickness of about 10 to 20 micron. The testing set AuroTest ATS 400/LFK consists of:

• a user friendly digital, light weight, precision electrical conductivity measuring device, with a measuring range of 3 to 65.0 MS/m*), which has an in indicator bar displaying also the allowed tolerance range for the authenticity evaluation: a large variety of precious metal alloys and fine metals can best tested, simply by presetting the expected metal/alloy with a few key strokes on the main device: fine gold 999+ & 995, Ducat gold, Krugerrand gold, Britannia gold, Reichsmark-/Vreneli (latin coin union) gold 90 % Au, CAD 200 gold, fine silver 999/999.9, Britannia silver, Sterling silver, US/CDN coin silver 90/80 % Ag, Maria Theresa silver 833 Ag, platinum 999.5, palladium 999.5, rhodium etc.
