Dear PreK-3 Parents:
Homework time is a special time for you to spend with your child. These calendars were
designed to complement and reinforce our learning at school and cultivate a collaborative
partnership between the “Student Thinker” and the “Parents Partner”. Each learning
opportunity also has a task to complete using the booklet with journal templates provided in
this packet. All required monthly assignments are due the first day of school.
We know that every family is unique. That’s why we give you the freedom to complete the
assignments in any order and on the days that work best for your schedule. Just make sure
that you complete several each week to stay on track.
You may notice that some of the learning opportunities involve helping at home and
spending time with your family. All of these assignments are purposeful. They teach skills
such as responsibility, independence, cooperation teamwork and promotes thinking. These
are all important life skills that students need to learn at a young age.

El tiempo de tarea es un tiempo especial para que usted pueda pasar con su hijo. Estos
calendarios fueron diseñados para complementar y reforzar nuestro aprendizaje en la
