Social GroupOur social target was the younger generation of people, specifically teenagers. The music video focused on the meaning of young love and did not address any specific social issues.

Based Off ResearchThe three videos we had chose to research, “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett, “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift, and our songs music video, “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back” by Shawn Mendes had all been taken into consideration when filming our video. We considered body language, location, and actions between the couple.

● Die a Happy Man: portrayed a romantic feel with the location being the beach. We had used a similar location in the same way in our video. While we did not have the resources their music video had, we were able to work with what we had available.

Based Off Research (Continued)● The beginning introduction of the title “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back,”

mimics the original music video of the song● As well as Shawn Mendes name, mimicking the “There’s Nothing Holding Me

Back,” original video

These images come from my group's project

While these images come from the original video. This music video includes not only the male character's name, but the females as well. This was something we could have done, to give equal credit.

Based Off Research (Continued)● We had also mimicked the original video by including our first shots being

long shots of the two characters. We felt this was a strong strategy, because it established our main characters within the first ten seconds.

By providing a long shot of a single character was able to present the importance of this actress, being the main reason we had mimicked the original directors decisions.

Engaging With Audiences ● This videos able to engage with the younger audience by giving them the

ideal relationship they should be striving for, a long lasting healthy relationship as presented in our music video.

Development of Production Skills ● Learning the most natural shots and angles, were more vivid when editing,

when it was too late to refilm ● How to properly attach and detach the camera to and from equipment

(tripod and stabilizer)● As editing, it got much easier the more I had practiced editing the film

Errors In Filming● Unnatural events, that would never occur in real life● Many shots filmed and intended to use went unused● Being aware our actors were not professional, however they still could have

executed a better performance● Shakiness in zooming

Unused Scenes That We Planned To UseAfter inserting this video into our music video, my group and I realized it was too awkward for us to keep. It not only was an awkward high angle but it was an unnecessary clip to our film.

This shot was also uncomfortable, because our male actor kept making eye contact with the camera, so we felt our video was better off without it.

Integrate Technologies ● Edited with imovie, software found on an apple product● Uploaded and shared on youtube● Filmed with a canon camera, more professional and easier to keep steady

when compared to an iphone
