FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY PREMEDICAL SUMMIT

Premed Advisor provides guidance and support to students who desire to apply to professional degree programs in medicine, osteopathic medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, and podiatry.

Here is a list of services provided by the Premed office:

*Premed office will create a profile and track student progress to medical, dental, or related professional school when students schedule a Premed Advising Appointment. *Premedical Advisement begins in freshman year and runs through final semester of enrollment. *Conduct group and individual advising sessions to keep students informed and assessprogress as it relates to professional school applications. *Send weekly emails to all students with active FAMU email accounts regarding premed advising activities, personal statement, summer research and internship programs, volunteer opportunities, MCAT tips, Mock interview prep, medical school recruitment visits, and scholarships. *Organize seminars, workshops, and activities to prepare students to be competitive in the admissions application to professional school.
