Large and Long Lasting
HISTORY: Native to damp grasslands of South America. Cultivated in Europe since 1567. Originally grown for healing purposes. Roots were used to make tonic water and were also frequently candied.
FORM: Recognized by a spiny collar (bracts) around a raspberry-like flowerhead. Grayish green leaves on stout stems in a stance that is angular yet erect. Thistle
like flowers in all shades of blue...from blue-green, navy to steel blue and sky blue.
LASTING: Blossoms will last an amazing 10 - 12 days in an arrangement. Can be dried—holds its shape and color.
DISPLAY: Popular in Europe— exotic Eryngium will bring remarkable show to arrangements, adding great textural contrast.
BUNCHES: Available in 3 and 7 stem bunches.
CARE & HANDLING: Upon arrival cut stems and place into a clean container with fresh, tepid water with fresh flower food solution. Remove any foliage below the water. Keep in cool location out of direct sunlight and drafts. Replenish water as needed.
