“What attracted me most to this course was that I was referred to it by the MBA

program people at my university."

- R. Grigsby

Dear Student:

Thank you for enquiring about our GMAT preparation courses.

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is unlike any

test you have ever written. Through a standardized yet unconventional

question format, the GMAT tests logical reasoning skills, reading

comprehension skills, analytical and mathematical skills, analytical

writing ability, and integrated reasoning. To register for the exam,

please contact the Graduate Management Admission Council by

telephone at 1-800-717-GMAT (4628), or online at www.mba.com.

Our intensive 22-hour courses and 48-hour courses are well-

organized, challenging courses designed for students who wish to

maximize their competitive position in relation to other students

writing the GMAT. We focus on building the skills you need to

master the GMAT. Our dynamic instructors give you a

comprehensive understanding of each section of the GMAT, cover

tactics specific to individual sections, and review strategies which

apply to the test as a whole.

If you want a competitive edge over other students writing the

GMAT, consider Oxford Seminars. We maintain the highest standards

for all our instructors and only select and train those instructors who

have years of distinguished teaching experience and who have

demonstrated outstanding achievement on the GMAT. We have

successfully taught thousands of students. Our courses are

conveniently held on university campuses across Canada.

Our research department has compiled a summary profile of all

business schools across Canada. In our continuing efforts to assist

students with the entire MBA application and admissions process, we

have enclosed a copy of the useful profiles.

A word of caution from our knowledgeable instructors about

commercially available GMAT preparation materials: unfortunately,

much of this material is poorly researched and does not reflect the

current GMAT. Our written materials are constantly updated and

reflect the most recent changes in the GMAT.

Please review the enclosed information and contact us if you have any

further questions. To register for any upcoming course, call our office

or complete and return the attached registration form. We look

forward to hearing from you.

About Our Course We offer the most effective, up-to-date course available, and back it with a

commitment to ensuring your personal success on the GMAT.

Our highly trained, dynamic instructors focus on effective test-taking strategies.

We thoroughly review all topics covered by the GMAT. During the 22-hour

course, you will be exposed to a variety of strategies which include: in-depth

review of specific mathematical concepts; critical reading of passages; effective

diagramming techniques; drawing proper inferences and deductions; synthesizing

concepts and ideas; learning to recognize wrong answer types; writing clear and

concise essays using effective structure; working strategically under strict timing

conditions; and developing an effective personal study schedule.

In order to expose you to the latest GMAT test format, our written materials are

constantly updated, and questions from recent GMAT tests will be taken up in

class. Thus, you will be able to evaluate your own strengths and weaknesses and

focus on those areas where you need the most practice.

Our Talented and Experienced GMAT Course Instructors At Oxford Seminars, we maintain the highest standards for all our instructors. We hire and extensively train only the most

qualified instructors who have not only scored in the top 2% of all GMAT test-takers but who also have years of distinguished

teaching experience.

At the end of each and every course, our students are asked to evaluate our teaching staff. They typically tell us that they find

our instructors approachable, highly knowledgeable, and able to present difficult material in a dynamic and interesting manner,

which facilitates learning and understanding.

Simulated Exams Our 48-hour course concludes with the writing of two full-length simulated Computer Adaptive Tests (CAT) during which

testing conditions are carefully reproduced. This provides our students with an excellent opportunity to practise and review

(under GMAT exam conditions) the many skills they have acquired during the course.

Free Repeat Policy Our GMAT courses include a free repeat policy which allows students to repeat the entire course one time, free of charge,

within one year of their original course start date. Some students take advantage of this policy to review and re-attend our test

prep course for double the preparation time at one low price. In order to ensure a low student-to-instructor ratio, we ask free

repeat students to contact us in advance to reserve their place in the upcoming GMAT course.

Additional Services For those students who have particular difficulty with any aspect of the GMAT, we offer additional tutoring. These are

individual tutoring sessions with one of our highly skilled instructors.

MBA Application Process In today's competitive academic climate, a winning application can be the difference that makes you stand out among the

thousands of students applying to MBA programs across Canada (and the United States).

Our courses include a comprehensive understanding of all areas of the application and admissions process. We cover how to

write persuasive personal statements, carefully choosing your references, highlighting particular extra-curricular activities,

presenting your past and present academic record, to which MBA schools you should apply, how admissions committees

operate, and how to avoid common traps and mistakes.

Our Commitment to You Oxford Courses provides excellence in test preparation at a price that is affordable for students willing to invest in their future.

When asked to evaluate our courses, over 98% of our students say they recommend us to their friends.

"I would certainly recommend this course to others! It helped in my overall approach to studying, which areas I needed to work on further, and the importance of timing when doing the test. The course helped me to feel more prepared for the GMAT than I would have otherwise."

- F. Bourdon
