• The doctrine of the Second Coming in the New Testament is mentioned on an average of at least once in 30 verses.

• The seventh man from Adam was Enoch who spoke of the Second Coming saying “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints”

• After 400 years of prophetic silence, in the New Testament it resounds.

• The mystery of the manger, the apprenticeship of 30 years are passed. Christ sets forth upon his mission. His lips are full, not of the first advent but of the second

• On the darkest night on the Mount of Transfiguration . Peter speaking of the supreme event declares in his epistle, Lord manifested not only as their King but set forth in full detail, the manner and the fashion of the coming Kingdom.


When he stood before his judges, he was not careful to speak of that marvelous moment when the angels of the God saluted Him upon His mother’s breast but lifting up His voice, warned them that the hour was at hand that they would see Him at the breast of the clouds.


On the day of Pentecost – Apostle Peter, preached to Jews that this Man of Nazareth whom they killed was raised from the dead, was none other than Messiah. And if they would confess and repent God would give them refreshing promise that He would send Jesus Christ a second time.


The Book of Revelation can be called the “Book of Second Advent” since, its one subject from the first to the last of its chapter is of the Second Coming of Christ. The book is like the roof of a mighty cathedral, each of the 22 chapters like a Panel

IS THERE ANYWAY TO FIND OUT HOW HE WENT UP?YES!! – the Bible reveals in

John 20:17 Jesus said, “Do not hold onto me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, “I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God you’re your God.

If we see in the old dispensation, if anyone

touched a Jewish priest while he was entering into the Holy

place to present the blood, the blood was of no avail.

The Lord Jesus Christ had shed His blood on the cross. But now He is on His way to present that Blood on the altar of the sky - His blood that was shed on Calvary. He is going through within the veil to present it and He says, “Go to my brethren, and say to them I ascend”

On the cross, He shed and poured out his blood.

When He arose from the dead, He had a risen life, a literal body, a body so real he could actually sit down

and eat with them.

IT IS VISIBLE

Coming of Jesus is a visible thing

Revelation 1:7 Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; All all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be!! Amen.

PROMINANCE OF SECOND COMING IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Genesis 3:15 I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and hers. He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel.

Everyone knows that this promise refers to the Coming of the Redeemer – the seed of the woman.

PROMINANCE OF SECOND COMING IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

But have you ever seen the two comings of the Redeemer in this verse?

Thou shall bruise his heel – everyone agrees, is already history. It was literally fulfilled 2000 years ago when Jesus hung upon the cross and was literally bruised by the emissaries of Satan.

It also speaks of crushing the serpent’s head - which, of course means his final end. When the head is crushed it signifies the end of its existence. It refers therefore to the ultimate and final victory of the Lord Jesus Christ over Satan – This happens at the Second Coming.

Romans 16:20 “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly”

This was written by Apostle Paul some thirty years after Calvary and Paul tells the bruising of Satan is still in the future

Malachi 4.1 “For behold the Day cometh, that it shall burn as an oven and all the proud and all that do wickedly shall be stubble and that day that is coming shall burn them up” saith the Lord of hosts, “that it shall leave the neither root nor branch

Malachi undoubtedly is referring to “THE DAY OF THE LORD”, an expression occurring hundreds of times in the scripture. It is also called Great Tribulation, Day of Vengeance of our God or time of Jacob’s trouble

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness rise with healing in his wings

Just as Christ will come after the tribulation to the nation of Israel as the Sun of Righteousness to deliver them just so He will first come as Morning Star to snatch away his Church

TWO CLASSES OF BELIEVERS:-

CORRUPTIBLE – those who have died; Whose bodies have all been seized upon by corruption.

Those MORTALS – who are living when Christ returns. Living on the earth in their mortal bodies and shall immediately become immortal.

So when these two changes take place, when this corruptible shall have put on the incorruptible, and this mortal shall have put on immorality then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written “Death is swallowed up in victory”.

This last, I understand is that which winds up the church’s history in the

earth.

Mathew 24:42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know whatyou’re your Lord with come.

Mark 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning

Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not

Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Be ready means the sinner MUST come to CHRIST for salvation & be ready for the return of his Lord

The Second Coming message is for the man who is A FAILURE. If a man is failing in his Christian activities this should spur him on to do still more for the Saviour

The Second Coming message is for the MONEY MAD CHRISTIAN. Christ is coming, what you have will be left. The accumulation of much goods will not benefit in the day when Jesus comes.

The Second Coming message as for THE CARNALLY MINDED, for THE CARELESS and THE UNCONCERNED. This message should enable us to do more for our Lord.

We must therefore always

Be ALERTBe AWARE

Be ACTIVE

ROMANS 13 Verse 11 And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Verse 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Verse 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Verse 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

The world waited for 4000 years for the first coming of

the LORD (Messiah).

Now we should wait for his Second Coming which can be

at any time.

Two miles from Jerusalem, on the Mount Olives, the Lord Jesus Christ will reappear after 7 years in mid-air.
