“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”. To inculcate the leadership qualities in our students, a school cabinet
was formed at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans’ Al Saad Indian School on 4th
May 2016.
Two higher officials from Al Maqam police station were the chief guests of
the function.

Special Assemblies @ School

Special assemblies reflect the students’ learning in forms of skit,
persuasive speech, debate, songs and vibrant dances.
ISLAMIC ASSEMBLY
A special Islamic assembly was put up by our Islamic teachers and
students on 19th May.
They presented the Arabian ethnicity and culture in their assembly to
enlighten the students about the heritage of their beloved country.

Special assemblies were conducted on 11th and 12
th of May in
Bhavans’ Al Saad Indian school by the Visual and performing arts club.
There was a dazzling performance on guitar by Ganesh Nachu Murugappan
and Parthiv Varma of grade 8 and excellent Key board performance by
Abhinav Sasidharan of grade 8 and Daniel Mathew of grade 7.
Assembly was enriched with a spectacular dance performance by Shifana
Khan of grade 8,Santwana Santhosh of grade 7, Mirza Mubarak of grade 7
and Aswathy P I of grade 9 and a mind blowing art presentation by
Jaswanth of grade 8 , Joash of grade 5 and Akash of grade 3 B.
Red Crescent

To promote humanity and community work among
parents and children, school conducted a Community In
Service Programme in collaboration with Red crescent .
Students contributed their stationary, dresses and food
items such as pulses and cereals which were neatly
packed.
It was heart warming to see students taking a lot of
interest in this activity which once again proved that
charity begins at home. This practice taught the students
to share and inculcated in them the importance of charity.
House Board Decoration
The theme for the month was “The secret of getting ahead is getting started”
House boards can bring out the creativity in students at artwork, writing
etc. Students enjoy when their creativity is appreciated. The boards for the
month of May were set up in a way that it looks appealing and eye
catching.
Colourful and creative thoughts have been put up to decorate and
highlight the theme of the month.
House wise display boards provide a stage for healthy competition
between different houses of the school in creating the best on the topic
given.
The winners were Pluto house ,Venus house and Athena house
respectively.

The school is divided into four houses – Athena, Jupiter, Pluto and Venus.
They promote a spirit of healthy competition in sporting literary and
cultural activities. They also create a sense of belonging to members of the
school from different grades.
Teachers in each house helped the children to come up with different tactics
and prepare for the different competitions.
