Spain e-mail: [email protected]; [email protected] The Instituto de Biología y Sueroterapia (IBYS) was founded in Madrid, on the spring of 1919, it became the pharmaceutical laboratory that totalized a major number of records of wheys and vaccines in Spain before the Spanish Civil War. It began, in these years, an important publishing activity directed the sanitary instruction. Finished the Spanish Civil War (1939) the activity increased with the organization of the "Biblioteca Ibys de Ciencias Biológicas”, in which Faustino Cordón (1909- 1999) was the director; this “Biblioteca Ibys” developed the interest for the biological experimentation and it helped doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians, naturalists, agricultural, engineers, etc. There were raising up to a scientific consideration the problems that the daily practice was raising, and of the series "El Alción" that turned concerning the ataraxia. Financed by project HAR2009-09564 of the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (España). . COLLECTION “EL ALCIÓN“ The principal topic is the Ataraxia, (“ταραξία "tranquility“) Greek term used by Pyrrho and Epicurus for a lucid state, characterized by freedom from worry or any other preoccupation. The principal addressees were the doctors. They all are Spanish authors.
