Scabies information What is scabies? Scabies is a disease of the skin caused by small insects (mites) that can not be seen with the naked eye. What symptoms produces? Itching skin rash frequently located in fingers, wrists, inguinal area and armpits. How can I get scabies? Close or intimate contact with an infected person. Also by sharing clothing, towels, or bedding. How can it be treated? A) Topical creams of Permethrin. 1. Take a shower 2. Apply the cream from the neck down 3. Left on the cream for 8-14 hours 4. Take a shower B) Oral treatment with pills called Ivermectin. IMPORTANT! 60C Ideally repeat treatment in 7 days! Qu’est-ce que c'est? La gale est une maladie de la peau causée par de petits insectes (acariens) qu’on ne peut pas voir à l'œil nu.

Symptômes Démangeaisons cutanées fréquemment localisées dans les doigts, les poignets, la région inguinale et

les aisselles.

Comment puis-je attraper la gale? à travers de contacts étroits ou intimes avec une

personne infectée. Aussi en partageant des vêtements, des serviettes,

ou les linges. IMPORTANT:

Lavez tous les vêtements à l'eau chaude

Mettez les chaussures et les vêtements qui ne peuvent pas être lavés dans des sacs en plastique fermés pendant 3-5 jours.

Le traitement est aussi conseillé pour les personnes avec lesquelles vous avez été en contact. S’il vous plait, si vous êtes enceinte informez votre médecin.

Idéalement répétez le traitement dans 7 jours!

Comment peut-on être traité? Deux options:

A. Crèmes topiques de perméthrine. ⁻ Douchez vous

⁻ Appliquez-vous la crème du cou vers le bas

⁻ Laissez la crème pendant 8-14 heures ⁻ Douchez vous

B. Traitement oral avec des pilules appelées Ivermectine.
