QUERETARO

Querétaro is one of the 31 states that conform the 32 federative entities of Mexico together with the Federal District.

It is located in the center of Mexico, in a well-known region as "The Sandbank". Their capital is the city of Santiago of Querétaro (located to about 200 kms to the northwest of the Mexico City). Querétaro limits to the North with San Luis' state Potosí, to the West with Guanajuato, to the This with Hidalgo, to the southeast with that of Mexico and to the Southwest with Michoacán.

The territory that today occupies the State of Querétaro was inhabited by Otomíes and Purépechas, being these last ones the dominant ones.

There was also a small presence of called nomadic tribes Chichimecas (pames and jonaces). there are some archaeological places that date of this time as The Hill in Corregidor, and the places of Frogs and Toluquilla in the Sierra Fat
