Who are their target audience? In my opinion I think that Disney films have primary and
secondary audiences. Primary audiences being children, as this
is the age group they aim majority of their films on, specifically
the animated ones. Their secondary audience would be parents,
as they have seen these films in their younger ages. It gives them
a sense of nostalia as they reminise about their childhood. Films
such as Cinderella give messages across that anyone can have ahappy ending no matter what situation you are in. I think
parents would like their children to have these positive images in
their head, and that is therefore why parents show these to their
children. Films such as Robin Hood, Little Mermaid, Cinderella,Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty are re-released so
that children nowdays can have the experience of seeing it in the
cinema rather then just watching them at home on a smaller tv,
without the quality that has been updated.
