• Created in 1982 by the French cultural minister Jack Lang

• Happening in 350 cities all over the world

• Music for free, for everyone, everywhere

• Based on sponteneous participation

• Aim to give a stage for every kind of musicians

What will happen in 2011?

• Included within the national day celebrations, June 6th

• Gets bigger : bands will have the possibility to play : - At partners places : Churches, bars, museums, hospitals, schools...- In designated public places- In unlisted public spaces

What will happen in 2011?

• One program element already on it way : concerts at Karolinska Institutet

• Both sites : Solna and Huddinge

What is Make Musik role?

• Finding places for bands to play

• Reaching bands and provide them the opportunity to play

• Do the matchmaking between bands and places

• Finding and negociating partnership that will benefit the event

• Communication about the event

How can I be involved?• Two possibilities : concert organizer or hosting place

• Concert organizer : Finding the band(s), taking care of the technical details

• Hosting place : MMS find the kind of band you want, according your desires according music style, time, technical details...

• Commitment to promote the event to your own audience

• In case of hosting place, having an identified contact person

• An harmonica player in a shop?
