Development
Milk is a white nutritious liquid produced by themammary glands of mammals and humans. Milk is
the primary source of nutrition for infants beforethey can digest solid food. Dairy animal (usually
cattle) are also processed into various products suchas butter, yogurt, ice cream, cheese, sweetened
condensed milk, milk powder and others for humanconsumption.

History Of Milk
In ancient times, milk has been used as a staple human food. Man took the milk ofanimals that have mammary glands, such as cows, horses and sheep. Cow andsheep began to be domesticated since 8000 BC for meat, fur and milk. In theMiddle East, even fermented milk into cheese by the desert nomads there. It isestimated milk started to go into the plains of Europe in the century 5000 BCpasses through Anatolia. Meanwhile, the milk started to go to England in theNeolithic period.
The use of cheese and milk from the Middle East through Turkey began to beknown by the Europeans in the middle ages. Later, in the 15th century, sailorsstarted bringing dairy cows to be nurtured and reared in the plains of Europe tothe consumption of milk. Cow's milk had just known by Indonesian people throughcolonial Dutch East Indies in the 18th century.

Functions and Benefits of Milk
For a productive life, milk helps their growth.Meanwhile, for the elderly, so that milk helpssustain bone nonporous. Milk naturally containsessential nutrients, such as an assortment of
vitamins, protein, calcium, magnesium,phosphorus, and zinc, another opinion addedthat milk contains minerals and fat. Therefore,everyone is encouraged to drink milk. Now a lot
of milk that is packaged in a unique form. Thepurpose of this to entice people to buy and drinkmilk. There is also a form of fermented milk.

Milk is not only of cow, but also of several other mammals produced by dairy farms. Amongthem:
SheepGoat Horse Donkey Camels
In Russia and Lapland regions, similar to deer farm made dairy milk logistics in
several areas in the northern polar circle . Horse and donkey milk fat contains
approximately 50% lower than cow's milk. Milk fat contains the largest whale,
which is 50% of the content of the milk. However, whale milk is not consumed by
humans.

Type Of Dairy Products
Based on fat content contained therein, dairy
products can be divided into several types:
whole milk
less fat milklow-fat milk
fat-free milk or skim milk .

CONCLUSIONS
• Milk is a white nutritious liquid produced by the
