13

Prudent - Focus on high quality and sustainable infrastructure: power and water self-

sufficiency; smart and connected corporate Park; safe and secure Offices

Place - Located between high growth corridors of S.G. Road and S.P. Ring Road. Located on

Aambli Bopal Road, with BRTS Corridor

Maximum shading achieved for N-S roads on account of

overall zone layout

Landscaping strategy on E-W roads to ensure pedestrian

comfort by thick canopied tree plantation

Un-shaded internal courtyards in 20-storey blocks to be

catered through medium to large canopied trees

35-40% Courtyard un-shaded throughout the year

N

Landscaping to resolve shading

Each block has been designed to ensure adequate sunlight, natural shade and air circulation - allowing comfortable micro-climate throughout the year (2/3)

“Pedestrian-first” approach in road design: Wide footpaths with green cover to encourage walking for short commutes; use of technology to ensure road safety

Range of velocity within the site is 1–

5m/s

Larger percentage of flats oriented

towards the wind ward side along E-W

running roads observing high velocity

Provision of wing wall at individual flat

level will ensure wind harvesting for

indoor ventilation

Wind catchers deliberated as an option to

improve natural ventilation in MLCPs

N

Highest wind velocity (5m/s) along E-W roads

Moderate-high velocity along N-S roads: 2-3m/s for spaces

between blocks 4-5 m/s at junctions

8-storey Blocks: Comfortable wind velocity of 3-4m/s in the courtyards on account of 6mx6m voids 20-storey Blocks: Reduced

velocity of 2-3m/s due to T-projection in the courtyard
