Key features of The Combined L/IX/SX/EW process
o The process is suitable for recovery of copper from solutions with metal concentrations, varying on a broad range
o Can be operate effectively with very low-graded copper pregnant leach solutions.
o The construction of large ponds for pre-filtration of the PLS is not necessary. In this case, very sensitive solvent extraction process can be work properly even at intensive rainfalls
o There is possibility to work with turbid solutions and solutions containing large quantities of suspended solids
Key features of The Combined L/IX/SX/EW process
o Winter operation without troubles. SX can be work properly i.e. with good phase disengagement times, even at low temperatures. This is due to high temperatures of IX regenerate used as a SX feed
o Combining of ion exchange and solvent extraction greatly reduces crud formation and organic losses
o Combining of ion exchange and solvent extraction reduces EW organic problems and thence improved copper cathodes quality
o Ion Exchange -Solvent Extraction-Electrowinning technological approach lead to SX plant sizes reducing. Thus ,minimizes the floor space requirements for SX “footprint “

The IONTIX unit - consists of 2 columns in series, each with single chamber with top and bottom nozzle plates, filled with resin and designed in a manner, which offers downflow service in one half of loading cycle and upflow service in the other half of loading cycle.
Key features of The IONTIX process
Very effective for treatment of copper pregnant leach solutions (PLS), acid mine drainage /AMD/ and other process streams.
Regeneration is very efficient and the target metal is usually recovered in relatively small volumes of regenerate.
The rinse waters from regeneration are recycled through the system and used for preparing of regeneration solutions for the next cycle.
The change of the direction of service flow during loading phase assures full use of resin capacity and in practice complete removal of desirable metal.
The system is “self-cleaning”.
