The product data and photometry Database


LITESTAR 4D operates with an MS-Access

database, the simplest database available in the

market nowadays, and which can be used in

several different applications both locally and via

the Internet.


The OXL is the new interchange file format based

on XML (*) technology and used by LITESTAR 4D

for the management of both luminaire data and

photometries, the first of this kind in the world:

� Evolution of standard LDT and IES formats

� integrates photometry, spectrum, 3D,

product information, images,

documents …

� extremely flexible

(*) XML (acronym for eXtensible Markup Language) is a meta markup language , or markup language that defines a syntactical mechanism that allows the meaning of other markup languages to be extended or controlled.

The integrated business management

The OXL file can also be considered as the heart of

the business information system because it gathers

technical and commercial information which can be

easily exploited by all other applications.

The OXL file is used nowadays in important manufacturing companies worlwide:

facilitates the operations and makes possible the synchronization of the updates on

multiple channels (Internet website, Plug-ins, catalogs and leaflets etc.).

The following diagram shows an example of such an application jointly developed with

the program module Photoview.
