What are Livable Streets?LIVABLE STREETS — also called Complete Streets — are roadways designed to allow for safe and convenient travel by all users, including motor vehicles, pedestrians

disabilities), transit, and
bicyclists both along and

adopting Livable Street policies• BHH is working with community
groups and local governments to promote Livable Streets
• MARC has a Complete Streets policy• MARC has developed an
implementation handbook for local governments
What can you do?• Encourage your city to
adopt a Livable Streets policy!
• Work as a community to inventory local streets and how they could be made more livable
• Support investments in Livable Street improvements in your community
