SIMULATION AS A TRAINING TOOL

OVERVIEW

WeldTrainer is a 3D Virtual Welding Simulator that has become an

innovating tool for the training of new welders in a fast and safe

way.

Thanks to a real time motion tracking system of great precision, the

user finds himself in a virtual world where every single every action

performed by him yields a real time response within the simulation

At the end of each welding pass the simulator creates a telemetric report of it,

displaying percentages of correctness for each parameter under control in the

exercise.

The reports are automatically sent to the instructor position.

Weldtrainer incorporates a management program that saves in a

database the achievements of the students, integrating the analisis of

results of the different performances, which are automatically

exported to an Instructor Position.

SIMULATOR KEY POINTS

The student performs a higher number of actual welding hours because all of the hours taught using the simulator involve actual welding (no need to change parts, wait for them to cool, remove slag, etc).

The training process cost is reduced. The simulator shortens the training time and heavily reduces the consumption of materials.

Every possible accident or dangerous situation is completely avoided with the use of the simulator.

The initial learning curve for students is faster. Students can understand and master faster and better the key aspects of welding (such as distance, angles and welding speed control).

The Tunsten Inert Gas Welding function has been released in 2015 by the Apolo

Studios. The result and the quality of the programing is immersive as usual…so they

made great job! And now the LVE come on the stage with our VR experinces in order

to find points required to be improve…so the baseic is great and we have many new

idea how to develope further the solution!

User selection Welding parameters selection

4 parameters can be tracked on 2 difficulty levels during TIG

welding what the user can select and may enable/disable each

parameters one by one during each excercise selections… .

The user can modify/change the following welding parameters whenever he want during the exercise….

The simulation constanty analyzing the welding motion performed by the

user and indicates the wrong parameter in realtime for the welder...

Penetration and porosity

These are special opportunities of our welding simulator only on the market…these

functions are also available for the user anytime during performing his exercise!

Result analysis and report

The simulation tracking each parameters during the user performing an exercise and

when the exercise finished the result automatically displayed...
