Company Ident-

The four idents above are very well known and are always at the start of every film and teaser trailer. I like that they all use dark colours that help portray the genre of films they are advertising. The idents are all professional looking which is why I think they work well for their filming companies. The 'Lionsgate' ident in particular suggests a horror genre type of film. The red and black colours used in top left ident works with thriller films, the red shares connotation with danger and death which indicated to the audience the kind of film that is being advertised. I like the dark aspect used in these idents, I think this would work well when designing our own for our thriller/horror film.

Due to our research, we came up with this as our very own Ident to go before the Teaser trailer of the Proceedings. It is also very dark, the word twisted suggests it is of a horror or even thriller nature and they grey and black colours work well to show its genre also.

Teaser trailer progress-We used final cut Pro for the making of The proceedings. This is different to what we used last year and took a little longer to understand all the buttons. As you can see

from the two photos below, at this stage we had put all the footage in a way we felt effective and this part of edited had been positioned. We then added a cold blue

shade onto the footage to give a daunting feel to the film. As the film is created to look like a handheld camera, on the editing effects there was a good effect that gave our

teaser trailer a handheld look with a recording button and other graphics. We have now also added directors names and who stars In the film over the top of the

footage.

Poster progressWe started off with a lot of stills

that we didn’t think that good to be a poster, so we took a screen grab of a part of footage at the end of

the teaser trailer and decided to use it to blend into a still of the woods we shot in. at the first part we just had the two images separate, then used a tool on photo shop to layer and blend ending with the result of the top photo on the left. This still needs a adding effects and words

too.

Magazine progress

Like the poster we have just made to layers and we want to put them

together to make a great effect. The photos we had, we didn’t like so we

took a few more and used this one at the top. We want to continue the

horror feel this is why we used Paranormal as its that genre and

although we liked the idea of Empire, we could not use this as through our research we discovered that Empire did publish about horror films so it

would be wrong to use it as an example.
