Courses 1931: Japan invades Manchuria

1935: Italy invades Ethiopia to avenge 1890 defeat

1935: Hitler announces Germany will no longer follow the conditions of the Versailles treaty

1936: German troops reoccupy the Rhineland

1936: Germany, Italy and Japan form the Axis Powers

1937: Japan Invades China

1938 – Hitler unites Austria with Germany

1938 – Signed Munich Pact to Gain control of Sudetenland (In Czechoslovakia)

1939 – Hitler and USSR sign nonaggression pact (Agreed to divide Poland)

1939- Blitzkrieg in Poland

Introduction After the end of the First World War in 1918 world’s infrastructure was

damaged

Germany had to compensate all countries that were affected by the

war = (World War I)

Germany failed to compensate all countries as a result the country

be came poor and weak.

Hitter promised desperate people of Germany better life, letter he

became a leader (dictator)

Germany became a strong and powerful country again.

Introduction continues.... World War 2 began in 1939

It spanned a total of 6 years until 1945

World War 2 involved countries in Europe, mainly Germany, and countries in Asia, mainly Japan. USA help ended the war.

war.

The League of Nations was established in hope to keep world peace.

Not all countries joined and some have left after joining.

The League had no power and army.

The League was unable to act quickly as communication and transportation was not effective back in the 19th Century.

Enormous technological progress was made during the war.

Weakness of Europe enhanced independence opportunities.

Independence Opportunities

Many countries in the South Asia region was

under the control of Europe.

Europe was weakened after World War 2 and

was not able to control the Asian countries.

Many of the countries take the opportunity to commence Independence to their country.

United Nation

The United Nations were established with the full support

of the United States.

Many other significant countries and the Soviet Union

were members.

The United Nations were thought to help maintain

peace.

Repercussions of the war

After World War 2, many people have explicit

memories of the war such that they were able to

create fantastic novels of the war.

Many novels such as Into the Valley (1943) by

John Hersey was written and published.

After World War ll

Fair trading started to take place between world countries.

No active war ever existed since United Nations was formed.

The standard of Technology and Since increased positively

It is a mere fact that world war ll also played vital role in the

world.

Summary

World War ll had huge impact in the world, it made communication to be

more easer than before. It also contributed in the formation of United Nations.

If we are looking the world around us we can see that it is true that World War

ll played a vital role in advancing world and make it a better place to leave

in.
