PHASE ONE: How the past has taken us where we already are,and soon will be.

I, Phil Connell, hereby start my blog page on July 1, my birthday.I intend it to be a sharing, teaching blog, mixing you into the history of Organizations, the presence of their Transition, and future Transformation.

My Fundamental Intuition: The whole is not only the sum of its parts,but the part is also better known from the standpoint of the whole.

In other words, (obviously needed) you and I will get to know ourselves-and each other- better as we go along.

The Archlives for each section, taken together, form the foundation for this blogside offering. Which, in short, is that from the “big bang” onward our Universe is expanding outward, that is, “rising”.

Converging is the relating of meaning streams to each other. This becomes an increasingly bonding experience as rising consciousness recognizes the complementarity of each ‘string’ to the other.

Increasingly rising and bonding sounds like the work of love. Let each discipline swing out broad its own word: evolution, biogenesis, becoming, organizational transformation, culture of experience, rehab, self actualization, profit maximization, and so forth. Each of these may have a shadow side, so a moral choice is needed to keep compass on purpose. This is a passionate embrace of the converging universal purpose, a rising work of love.

The exponential growth of organizational models could take your breath away. It took nearly 50 years for the traditional hierarchical ‘power over’ to develop. It took half that

time for a serious alternative in the ‘power with’ participative model. Yet the next jump into the ethical balance model took half that long. The next 15-20 years the systems approach

and the Learning Community model saw a great deal of churning as New Leadership

styles set the stage for the rapid creation of one prevailing organizational model.

On Becoming a Person-hood

About 1935 Carl Rogers wrote On Becoming a Person. As a therapist, he took the accepted approach and showed how to heal what was wrong. Then he presented a healthy model of

an authentic Person.

By the 70s, Abraham Maslow made popular a model beginning with the human as impelled to seek self actualization: personal and group. TRANSFORMATION WAS AFOOT IN THE

SECULAR LAND.

Religious and spiritual impetus was well establish long before this, but again generally required a repentance and healing as a starting point. Still, changing was in the air, fostered

not less by the self-organiZING of groups and companies such as we have observed.

Since we are talking about a Corporation as a “Living, sentient, being with a conduct and personality…” , we can use the thrust of biological evolution to enlighten the path of

TRANSFORMATION. This from the beginning requires the integration of electrical and chemical forces to produce energy. Thus the scaffold: energizing, individualizing, socializing, personalizing, harmonizing, specializing, generalizing, spiritualizing,

experientializing (embracing the NOW).

Prof. Phil, Our communication is really slowing down. We wish to hear from  you how you doing over

there and how you are linking with those organizations to enable us advance Health Education Program (ITHC) here in Nigeria.

Here in Port Harcourt and now far beyond we are gaining grounds. We are told there are international organizations that promote our kind of projects world wide. Why can`t we get

such support to enable us to expand and do more meaningful things than what we are doing now? We also need to build lasting structures for training here in  Nigeria.

Please try your best for a stich in time saves nine. We are getting on by the grace of God in our  training, we are having fresh trainees now.
