    Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement Trailer(MTVR-T)

    Requirements mimic those of theMTVR

Incorporates the requirement for aCPC document

During testing at NATC, all threevariants (Cargo, Waterbull, andGenerator) experienced cracking in thetrailer arms

The manufacturer (CMDC)redesigned trailer arms and continuedtesting; however, new design stillshowed significant cracking

    Corrosion Prevention and Control

Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) Corrosion control is incorporated into thecontract and similar to the MTVR, requiresmanufacturer to provide a 22-year service life

Oshkosh Truck Corp (OTC) delivered first 10

Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) vehicles inJune 07

One LRIP LVSR is being subject toCorrosion Durability Test (CDT) at AberdeenTest Center (ATC) and will simulate 22 years

As defined by contract, OTC is responsiblefor all corrosion related discrepancies

Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) CPAC was brought onto the JLTVprogram in June 07

    CPAC and TACOM collaborated

on contract wording to detailingproper corrosion prevention andcontrol

JLTV will be first tactical vehiclewith a planned 30-year service life
