The Future Evolution of Humans

EVOLUTION OF MAN BEFORE TODAY

How did humans(and animals) evolve?

Humans and chimps share the same ancestor. Some of his descendents had to adapt to different habitats(heat, cold, weather, etc.) than other as they traveled, so some evolved into humans, and some into chimps. This is what has happened to many animals(crocodiles and alligators)

LUCY

Lucy was an ancestor of the modern chimpanzee discovered in 1974. She had a small skull, long, dangly arms short legs and a large belly, but the structure of her pelvis show that she walked on 2 legs, like us. This form of motion(bipedalism) is the most important difference between humans and apes, placing Lucy in the hominid family.

The homo australopithecus lived in Africa, but never left because they lived in dense rainforest, as they would also live in treees(thisi is why they have long, curly fingers). They had a brain capacity of up to 35% of our brain. They looked much like apes, but walked on 2 feet(they were bent over though). They appeared more or less 3 million years ago.

HOMO AUSTRALOPITHECUS

HOMO ERECTUS

The Homo Erectus was called like that because erectus means "upright". They were the first hominids to walk more or less upright. They discovered fire. They had a brain capapcity of 800 to 950 cm/3(45-50% of ours). They spread out all the way to Asia 700000 years ago.

NEANDERTHAL(HOMO NEANDERTHALENSIS)

The Neanderthals lived mainly in Europe during the iceage. Their maximum height was 1.7m They had a small muscular body, ideal to conserve heat. The Neanderthals had the same brain capacity as ours(2000cm/3).They shared their last years with Homo sapiens. hey had a sort of very primitive languaege. They had a brain capapcity of

"IF YOU WERE TO GET A NEANDERTHAL MAN, DRESS HIM WELL, SHAVE HIM, HE WOULD PROBABLY PASS UNNOTICED IN NEW YORK"quote by William Straus.

Has Human Evolution Ended?

Some professors say that human looking will never change again

That is based on the fact that now, as people have children at earlier age than before

(especially fathers) the newborn children mutate less

Mutations cause humans to not look exactly like thair parents, i.e. mutate

The younger a parent is, the less disorders he has, and so does the child.

Some scientists say, that the man is completely evolved, there is nowhere else to go.

They say that man is the tallest and the straightest he can be

Boskop

Boskop man was thoughtto be a unique and ancient homid genius. That theory was based on a skull discovered in the 1913s.

The skull was 30% larger than the human skull. The first Boskop skull was discovered by Federick William Fitz Simons.

It was proven that Boskop lived in Africa between 30,000 and 10,000 years ago. The American anthropologist, eduator and natuaral science writer "Loren Eisley" wrote a book about Boskop Man which is called "The Immune journey".

The man of the future, with the big brain, then small teeth, he lived in Africa. His brain was bigger than the human brain, his face was straight and small almost like a childs face.

Here are some pictures of Boskop

Maybe, someday we will be like Boskop...

According to proffessor Cavalli Sforza, some day we will look somewhat like Boskop ( the basic immage we give to the green men)

Our heads will look something like this: Huge black eyes, flapping ears, small chins and noses and huge skulls.

Our bodies will loose hair completely, loose 2 or 3 fingers. Our liver will have the function of absorbing more water from urine in order to waste less water.

It will happen because more and more we use and type on the computer, so we will need longer fingers, bigger brains and less physically developed body.

We will also need bodies that will protect us from the pollution in the atmosphere (flapping ears, hard skin)

Maybe, when we hear the rumors about the looking of aliens, they were like us before?

Evolving using Nanotechnology and

Controlling our own Brain

There is a version that humans will be able to create technology that will enable us to choose

our own abilities and modify our genes

Those are nanotechnology, biotechnology, informaton technology

and cognotechnology

We will be able to modify our abilities and be able to add extra genes to us, so that we can make ourselves breath

underwater or fly

We might modify our feelings and thoughts, transmit them to another perso

and 're-play' them

We will be able to dream of what we want, feel what we want, share our

feelings and know what someone else is thinking

Then, we will be able to live in the internet, share people's brain and don't

have any limits or privacy

The Two Species Version

Theory by Oliver Curry

Humans are going to reach their point of evolution in 3006.

By then, humans will be two meter tall on average, and their life expectation will be 120 years.

Then 100,000 years later, the human race will split in two.

The first one will be a god like creature: Beautiful, tall, slim and smartThe other one will be a goblin like creature, both ugly and stupid.

This is because humans have relied too much on technology. The feelings of love, respect and trust will completely disapear.

Sources: BBC News, Oliver Curry's theory.

This is what Dr.Currry says. So humans will split in two because of over depending on technology.

The skin color might change...

It is proven that 3000 years ago, the Europeans had really dark skin color. But suddenly, it started getting whiter.

At that time, humans started eating crops grown on fields insted of meat and fish.

That is because the body didn't get enough Vitamin D, so it adapted itself to get it from the sunlight.

There is a version that in the future, all the races around the world will have the same skin color - coffee with milk.

However, what if the evolution of skin color hasn't changed? What if humans start eating some food made under laborotory conditions, which will lead to more skin colors?

We don't know what skin colors we may have, or how will it affect the way we live.
