• The digital twin concept is key for the digital factory
• 3D optical scanning proof to be the way to transform physical products in digital parts, by pointcloud acquisition.
• Automated analysis allow to obtain deviation map and geometricaldimensions.
• The dimensional information is represented using the stander QIF
• The dimensional information is crucial to allow not only the detection of defects, but the automatic improvement of the manufacturing process.
