Carla Cohn, DMDDr. Cohn graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba in 1991. She then went on to complete a post-graduate internship in Children’s Dentistry at Health Science Centre Children’s Hospital. She entered private practice after graduation and dedicated most of her first decade to working and raising her three sons. She was alarmed at the rampant tooth decay in very young children, despite all of the knowledge and education available on preventing tooth decay. Dr. Cohn wanted to help these children regain their health in a quick and efficient manner and thus began her second decade in practice. The focus of her private practice, at Kid’s Dental, is on prevention. As a dentist, she looks forward to a future in which we can truly see a decline in cavities. Change can only occur through education. Dr. Cohn’s goals for the future are to help educate the community, dental professionals and medical professionals on prevention of tooth decay.

Dr. Cohn has lectured nationally and internationally on risk assessment, prevention, behavior management and restorative treatment options. She evaluates dental materials for the Catapult Group and speaks as a clinician who has observed first hand and dealt directly with everything presented in her courses.
