2017 National Congress of the Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A.
The 2017 Rainer B. Wilson Fellow-
ship Dinner was an evening of excel-
lence as we honored 25 graduates of
the Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A.
Our special guest and host for the
evening was KevOnStage. He took us
on a funny journey while we were
blessed by the music ministry of Taryn
Johnson, the Mt. Zion COCHUSA mime
ministry and Jasmine Hughes. Little
Eden Hill did an wonderful job reciting
her speech “Because of You I Can.”
The evening was well attended and
the atmosphere was filled with expec-
tation.
Sis. Tiandra Bland and her team are
to be commended for a job well done!
The RBW Fellowship Dinner - Oscar Night!
T his year’s theme for the Children’s Convention was: “Jesus My Super
Hero - The Mission Is Possible”
The two days of the Children’s Convention focused on lessons exploring
reasons why Jesus is our hero. There were group discussions, bible verse
readings and crafts created that focused on the theme. There was discussion
on four points:
(1) Jesus Saved Us; (2) The Power of Prayer; (3) Jesus Performed Miracles; (4)
Put on the Whole Armour of God.”
Sis. Tracy Hancock-Bryant and her team did an excellent job and we thank
them for their dedication to our children!

YAM Service
T his year the Youth Convention coordinator was Sis. Jill Gilbert (W). The con-
vention began with a “Dating Game Experiment”, then proceeded to com-
plete a group activity of physical challenges, that included the following:
Biblical thinking exercises
Results of the “Dating Game Experiment were discussed in open fo-
rum on Saturday and well received by the youth and participants
Thanks to Sis. Jill Gilbert and her team for planning an excellent agenda for our
youth!
T he 2017 Bible Quiz was exceptional! Elder & Sis. Brian and Alicia Jefferson
worked together as a team to create and atmosphere of excellence for our
bible quiz teams. The audience was also involved and answered questions.
There were nine rounds of questions with toss-ups that ended in several addi-
tional rounds for tie-breakers.
Introduced this year was a new category called Mixed Fruit. This allowed the
team captain to choose their teams category. Interrogative, True/False, Multiple
Choice or Completion were the selections.
All of our teams did an excellent job! See the results of C.C. Carhee Bible Quiz
on the SHOUT OUT page!
T his year the Young Adult Ministry (YAM) Service was held on Friday Evening,
July 28, 2017. The look of this service was very different, because it was tru-
ly a time of testimony. Two individuals gave their “life changing” testimonies.
Minister Antonio Wright and Sis. Jackie Hill-Perry.
The Congress Praise Team rendered selections. There was a song after each
testimony that helped to connect the word and the speakers points.
Elders David Kennebrew and Brad Buchannan are to be commended for plan-
ning an evening of reflection that will be long-lasting!

Have you been encouraged to be a champion for change?
Our president has challenged us to “carry water” and to serve on purpose and
become a champion:
1. “Leaders & Little Ones” - Pastors teach and encourage your youth - by teach-
ing our children, middle school and high school students in Sunday School at
least once a month.
2. “Stronger Connection to Your Communities” - Local Superintendents and
HYM Group Leaders, engage your community. Strive to make a difference by
offering tutorial classes, serving breakfast on Sunday morning etc.
3. “Every COCHUSA member with a Bank Account” - sponsor a young person to
the National Youth Conference in Lake Williamson, IL - October 6 - 8, 2017 or
go to www.cochusacongress.org and click the DONATE button.
“HOME MATTERS MOST”
