What is OEE?

Does  your  produc,on  have  bo2lenecks  that  you’re  not  aware  of?

Could  one  machine  be  dragging  down  the  en,re  facility?

Does  your  equipment  have  excess  capacity  that  could  be  easily  and  inexpensively  tapped?

OEE  truly  reduces  complex  produc,on  problems  into  simple,  intui,ve  presenta,on  of  informa,on.

What is OEE?

Best Practices

Standard Measure of Performance

Simple and Practical

OEE  is  a  “best  prac, ces”  way  to  monitor  and  improve  the  effec, veness  of  your  manufacturing  processes  (i.e.  machines,  manufacturing  cells,  assembly  lines)

OEE  is  a  standard  measure  of  performance  which  brings  together  the  three  most  significant  produc,on  metrics  –  Availability,  Performance  and  Quality

OEE  is  simple  and  prac, cal.    It  takes  the  most  common  and  important  sources  of  manufacturing  produc, vity  loss,  places  them  into  three  primary  categories  and  dis, lls  them  into  metrics  that  provide  an  excellent  gauge  for  measuring  where  you  are  –  and  how  you  can  improve!

What is OEE?

Frequently used in TPM

Three Key Metrics

OEE  is  frequently  used  as  a  key  metric  in  TPM  (Total  Produc,ve  Maintenance)  and  Lean  Manufacturing  programs  and  gives  you  a  consistent  way  to  measure  the  effec, veness  of  TPM  and  other  ini,a,ves  by  providing  an  overall  framework  for  measuring  produc,on  efficiency.

TraceabilityThe  key  to  surviving  in  today's  tough  environment  is  to  implement  an  accurate  traceability  system  that  tracks  individual  containers  and/or  pieces  as  they  flow  through  the  manufacturing  process,  and  can  isolate  problems  with  pin  point  precision.

It  must  provide  detailed  historical  informa,on  related  to  produc,on,  inspec,on,  genealogy,  and  usage.

Direct Part MarkingDirect  part  marking  is  used  to  track  individual  pieces  or  components.  A  glyph  is  a  special  mark  placed  on  each  part.  It  contains  an  ultra-‐secure  encrypted  serial  number,  sustains  extreme  field  condi, ons,  can  be  read  on  curved  surfaces,  and  is  s,ll  readable  even  if  80%  of  the  image  is  destroyed.  Direct  Part  Marking  provides  extremely  detailed  level  of  traceability

BarcodesPlexus  Online's  bar  coding,  which  supports  hundreds  of  standard  and  specialized  bar  code  formats,  is  fully-‐integrated  into  the  applica,on  itself,  which  is  the  only  way  to  achieve  the  true  benefits  of  bar  coding.  Bar  codes  are  used  for  inventory  tracking,  shipping/receiving,  tool  tracking,  gage  tracking,  labor  ,me  and  a2endance,  and  other  areas.
