Culture Shock was born with music running through his vains, August 23rd 1987. Although hisparents never married and their relationship ended only months after birth, they both shared thelove of music and concert going. Each show Culture Shock tagged along to fed his passion formusic in all genres, but he especially related to reggae and hiphop. Through elementary schoolCulture Shock moved several times giving him taste of different cultures and musicalexperiences. As a child, being the white minority in the schools of D.C. and Florida gave himperspective and had a huge influence on who he is and how he views life. His interest in themusic industry started as a teen, when he got his first set of turntables. He would save hispennys to buy records and play around, but with the distraction of school, sports, and girls, timedidn't allow for any serious effort. During his late teens he traveled to South Africa and Jamaica,at which point, dancehall and electronic music became very influencial. At 20, he started to djwith Zion Souljahs, primarily mixing dancehall. Although he was limited to the genres chosen bythe clubs, he continued experimenting with wider spectrum independantly. He got married at 23and shortly after welcomed his first son. Beginning this new journey, money became moreimportant than his local, underpaid gig djing. Working a very hard year of concrete, progressingwith music and having a child not only exhausted him, but also gave him a reason to pushharder. At 24 and still independantly, Culture Shock started producing electronic remixes, aswell as, hiphop and dancehall beats. After hearing low quality underground tracks he decided tostart working with his brother-in-law producing hiphop music. Using social media as his primeoutlet source, he started networking with many other artists and creating a name for himself.Just over a week before his younger son turned one, on February 12, 2014, he released his firstfull production track, "I Won't ft. St. Paul, Antoine Alston & majik". The song was such a hit that inApril, Culture Shock and St.Paul met Antoine Alston in New York City to shoot the video in TimesSquare. Immidiately after the video was released they had lots of positive feedback andconsidered it a success. SECOND PLAYER SCORE

The members of Second Player Score know a few things about second chances. For all threeof them, the Portland area is their second home – drummer Kyle Gilbert grew up inCalifornia, while Brian Tashima and bassist Daniel Downs were both born and raised inHawaii — and each of them were coming off of what they considered to be their first seriousmusical projects. Finding each other through musician-wanted ads and word of mouth, the three quicklydiscovered that they shared a fondness for hard rock, geek culture, and craft beer. Aftertaking their name from a line in an episode of “The Simpsons,” they set about developing acollective sound that eventually grew to resemble bands like Weezer, Husker Du, Green Day,and Bad Religion. What they were finally able to do was to create, what is now, a blazing power rock trio.Playing music ranging from Pop Punk to Driving Rock. Complete with great hooks, melodicvocals, powerful harmonies, and crushing rhythm. At first, it was just meant to be something fun and casual, but as time went along, the songsreally started to come together and take on lives of their own. That’s when the guys thought,‘Hey, maybe other people would actually like to hear this stuff.’ Encouraged by the positive responses they received at their energetic live shows, the banddecided to record some of the aforementioned “stuff” with producer/engineer StephanHawkes, whose credits include popular Portland-area bands such as Red Fang, Rags &Ribbons, and The Crash Engine. The resulting album, Fortress Storm Attack, is a collection often songs that range stylistically from pop-punk (“Chosen One,” “Better Than My Dreams”) toheavier driving rock (“Bend,” “Falling Forever”), all while maintaining the huge sing-alonghooks and three-part vocal harmonies that are an integral part of the band’s anthemic rockapproach. Since then he's had several new releases such as, St.Paul - Let It Go, WillyWhatever - Brighter Day, Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boys (Culture Shock Sounds remix), along withmany others. There’s no doubt karaoke is a bar entertainmentmainstay, and sorry to those who don’t like it,since the early 90’s it has grown in popularity andis obviously not going away, ever. What is itabout karaoke that people like so much? Weasked Robert Bedrossian, founder of Kara-O-King(http://www.kara-o-king.com), a large karaokeoutfit in Miami, FL, his take on the karaoke scene.“Well.. I think the thing about karaoke is that itallows someone to test reality and see that theycan be the rockstar. Karaoke means a lot ofdifferent things to many people. Most peoplepicture a person who on occasion findsthemselves the perfect level of drunk to go upand sing, but there is actually a plethora ofkaraoke types. You have those, but there isactually a loose knit karaoke scene in just aboutevery city in the world. Those people who forwhatever reason find it necessary to go out anddo karaoke 3 or 4 times a week. There’s evenbeen studies done on therapeutic uses forkaraoke, it’s often been part of leadershiptraining and can help those with social anxiety. For a few it’s a vehicle to stardom, since theinception of shows like American Idol, The Voice,Nashville Stars and the like, karaoke has morphedinto something else. Nowadays someone can singtheir way onto a bigger stage.”

Black Powder County is everything the band's name suggests and more. They have anundoubtedly explosive modern rock feel, while returning to roots of the hard hitting, punchy, raw sounds made famous by bands like Aerosmith, AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and RoseTattoo. They have a sense of danger and that untamed beauty that was synonymous in bands likeGuns n’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, and in Black Powder County’s opinion has been the sound andenergy missing for far too long. Their explosive rock sound marks the spot for a new beginningand revitalization from a band of rock & roll brothers united by a unbridled desire & passiontoward a suddenly brighter future. Formed in early 2012 Black Powder County is entering its second year with a bang! The band hasliterally been there and back musically in that short time, and through dedication andperseverance this charged foursome has morphed into a well oiled, fast moving hard rockmachine with an incredibly slick sound, the band has come out of it all as a durable andentertaining act in the area. Their Debut Album "The BPC Syndicate", is available now and it is anelectrifying compilation of their rock roots with the irresistible guitar riffs, and life relating lyrics. The band has reached new heights, both artistically and commercially, so be watching closely asthis band is on the rise. Are you ready for Black Powder County's explosive sound? “We're all looking for a same thing, and after years of playing the pub/club cover scene withother bands, we each needed to scratch that itch of creating our own music, but that meantgetting the right group together to achieve that goal. And that happened when we finally foundone another and it was an instant click, like a Black Powder explosion" explains the group's leadguitarist "Decoy" who is a transplant here from Australia. "We were looking to get back that same feeling we had when we all first started making music, which was writing and creating our own sound to share, and capturing that elusive feeling ofsuccess along the way, and of course the pure joy of making music that people can relate to inone way or another".

“Rain” is easily the radio single from this album. Containing all the great sounds that classic rockbrings combined with current music sensibilities, the tune fly's between driving music and amore ethereal chorus which modern music fans love. Smartly written and executed it packs anemotional punch while still maintaining the bands ethic of bringing the hard rock to the fore.Sure to be an instant hit for the band I expect to see BPC making a major impact very quickly. .“Ledfoot” is one of those songs that makes you want to be screaming down the highway at 140miles an hour with the top down, wind blowing, and the heat hot on your tail. Electric, eclectic, and a beat that drives this song at high octane speeds will make you jump straight up out of yourseat !! If you can't like this song you don't know what Rock 'n Roll is supposed to sound like. Thisis simple double-barreled dynamite exploding in your face. Easily the song that sells this band, itis my personal favorite and one I will be enjoying for years to come. An instant classic. Make nomistake, it's time to get your ass up and do the Ledfoot Boogie !!! With only four electrifying songs here this CD will leave you wanting more immediately. I amanxiously awaiting a second release already and this album just came out !! So lets take a look atthis cast of characters. On guitars we have Australia's own Tim Deq. A great guitarist with a sloppy style that hits all theright notes yet has that out of control sound that makes Rock 'n Roll what it's supposed to be.Loud, Exciting, and Driven. Classic old-school sensibilities drives his playing along with a stylethat Mark Bolan would appreciate. This IS what raw Rock guitars are supposed to sound like !! Jake Strasheim is pure gold on vocals. Sounding like he is belting these tunes from amountaintop while maintaining a distinctive style to his singing makes him a very powerful voicefor this ban As soulful and raw as a Rod Stewart or Chris Robinson his voice conveys that feelingof energy and excitement that Rock demands of its singers. Vocally punching thru these tunesJake has captured something magical in his technique making him a unique vocalist yet stillretaining a familiarity people will love. Driving this machine along is Manny Narkrong on bass and Josh Betschart on drums. A prettyawesome pairing here that creates explosive beats and driving rhythms all while maintainingmelodic sensibilities to the music. Switching between classic rock styles and more modernsounds they have created an original and yet familiar feel to the tunes presented here.Knowledgeable in Blues, Rock, and Modern music they are able to utilize all these styles to thebest effect with this material.

The idea behind Black Powder County remains a powerful yet simple one. "There is no gimmickhere," explains Vocalist Jake Strasheim. "We set out to create music that we enjoy, and can feelproud of playing music that artists we like would want to listen to, along with the people thatwant to see Rock revived. We don’t want to be tagged as a copycat or try to want to keep up withthe Joneses or conform to somebody else’s ideas of how we should be. That's when you can losefocus. So we've just done what we feel is right, and tried to have a great time doing it." Black Powder County’s sound is defiantly forward-looking and truly fresh in all senses of thatword. "Our music is very aggressive, and in your face right out of the gate" says Bass guitaristManny Narkrong. "There's always been that hard face slapping, wake the hell up and listenelement to it, and this band is the first dynamite band that's been around in quite a while”. "We were like a bunch of guys who got together one day and were able to play an assortment ofsongs with no practice or preparation and have it sound awesome with little effort. That's whatit's been like every time we've done something together. We're stoked, like 'Cool, we wrote a kickass song!' 'Wow, we played another gig!' Maybe that's why this has worked because we love toplay and have a feel for it all in a naturally cohesive way! Their Debut EP "The BPC Syndicate" is a rock & roll eulogy with a natural raw feel with sonicallyinspired edginess. It's a Hard Rock rebirth for a new generation, reflecting the bands influences. Drummer John "Turbo" Leitch states," For us the album we are making has to encapsulate thedynamics of the group, along with the energy & growl, just like we have when we play togetherlive." Black Powder County is also not just all about having fast paced riveting rock tunes, there isdefinitely room for some ballads for the Ladies too. Vocalist Jake Strasheim states, "The songwriting for the band has taken on a life of its own, asthe structures of the songs themselves keep morphing and growing so much from collaborationand creative input from everyone in the group. We have accomplished so much and can use thethings we picked up musically to keep the band a well oiled music machine.” Follow the Black Powder Trail as it ignites and blows some Hard Rock right in your face! Classic strains of the hard-hitting raw sounds made famousby the likes of Guns and Roses, Black Stone Cherry, The Cult, The Faces, MC5, Rod Stewart, VelvetRevolver, and The Black Crowes can be heard influencing this bands performance. ...Using all theold great hooks and simple rhythms in new ways. Fast paced with complex writing makes thisalbum soar for a band that has barely gotten itself off the ground. With this well oiled of amachine for a debut release one just knows this band is going places quickly. Obviously schooledin what makes Rock 'n Roll great they have captured the essence of it with an 'In Your Face'presentation of high voltage tunes sure to get you on your feet dancing and singing alongwherever you are. “When The Devil Knows Your Name” is a grinding tune that shows off the bands skills veryquickly.
