RENEW is pleased to officially announce the launch of an important finance training course, the CFO 100 Program (CFO 100). The program is offered in partnership with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a vast professional network of more than 188,000 members worldwide. The CFO 100 Program will be hosted at The Exchange, RENEW’s San Francisco-style office space in Galani Cafe Warehouse that is the focal point of the Accelerating Business Growth (ABG) project, an investment program in Ethiopia that is undertaken with the financial support of Global Affairs Canada. CFO 100 will bring highly motivated finance executives from local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through an intensive management-training program. The program will ultimately teach participants the skills they need to push their companies to play a stronger role in the Ethiopian economy and become market leaders. CFO 100 is a two-year, part-time program that has an eight-course curriculum spanning across multiple disciplines that any finance professional would find valuable, including real-world finance skills, technical competence, and the highest professional standards. The first-three months involve classroom training and the remaining is a structured self-study program around ACCA’s curriculum. With a mixture of intense self-study and in-person classes throughout the week, the program is innately flexible, allowing students the time and freedom to continue working throughout the course of the training. Upon completion of the CFO 100 Program, employers will recognize that graduates have mastered a broad range of practical financial management and advanced accounting skills. CEOs in Ethiopia need trustworthy and experienced CFOs to help them understand, manage and plan their company’s financials.
