1 PRESS RELEASE "Wonder Girls" Release, Book-signing, Lecture and Photo Exhibition January 24-31, 2018 December 4, 2017. Santa Fe, New Mexico 2018 is shaping up to be the "Year of the Girl.” As each news headline trumpets an unstable atmosphere for countries the world over, girls are leading the way in education, environmental action, and social justice. CREATIVITY FOR PEACE, a Santa Fe-based nonprofit, celebrates the stabilizing role that young women play in our communities with the upcoming exhibition of photographs, January 24-31, 2018, from the just-released book, "WONDER GIRLS, Changing Our World" by Paola Gianturco and Alex Sangster. Gianturco and Sangster's book journey began with a pivotal chapter about the work of CREATIVITY FOR PEACE with teen girls from Israel and Palestine developing skills in peacemaking and a passion for "the other’s experience" in war-torn communities. CREATIVITY FOR PEACE will host an exhibition of 20 of Gianturco's images in the CCA lobby gallery, opening January 24, and running through January 31, 2018. Proceeds will benefit the work of CREATIVITY FOR PEACE. Author/photographer Paola Gianturco joins us in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, on January 24 and 25, with slide/talks and book-signings: Albuquerque, January 24 at 7 pm, The Guild Cinema, 3405 Central Avenue NE, tickets $10. Santa Fe, January 25, at 7pm, CCA, 1050 Old Pecos Trail, tickets $15. VIP tickets (including a signed book and pre-reception) are $125
