BELTING

Description

A belt is a loop of flexible material used to mechanically link two or morerotating shafts, most often parallel. Belts may be used as a source ofmotion, to transmit power efficiently, or to track relative movement. Beltsare looped over pulleys and may have a twist between the pulleys, and theshafts need not be parallel. In a two pulley system, the belt can eitherdrive the pulleys normally in one direction (the same if on parallel shafts),or the belt may be crossed, so that the direction of the driven shaft isreversed (the opposite direction to the driver if on parallel shafts). As asource of motion, a conveyor belt is one application where the belt isadapted to continuously carry a load between two points.

SPROCKET

Description

Each of several projections on the rim of a wheel that engage with thelinks of a chain or with holes in film, tape, or paper.A wheel withsprockets.

SEALING PRODUCT

Description

A device or material that is used to close off or fasten an opening orconnection, especially to prevent the escape of a liquid or gas . Anairtight closure

CUTTING TOOLS

Description

In the context of machining, a cutting tool or cutter is any tool that is usedto remove material from the workpiece by means of shear deformation.Cutting may be accomplished by single-point or multipoint tools.

ROLLER CHAIN

Description

Roller chain or bush roller chain is the type of chain drive most commonlyused for transmission of mechanical power on many kinds of domestic, industrial and agricultural machinery, including conveyors, wire- and tube-drawing machines, printing presses, cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.

BOLT

Description

1. A bar made of wood or metal that slides into a socket and is used tofasten doors and gates.2. A metal bar or rod in the mechanism of a lockthat is thrown or withdrawn by turning the key.3. A fastener consisting of athreaded pin or rod with a head at one end, designed to be insertedthrough holes in assembled parts and secured by a mated nut that istightened by applying torque.

COUPLING

Description

1. The act of linking together or forming couples.2. The act of unitingsexually.3. A device that links or connects.4. Electronics The transfer ofelectricity from one circuit to another.5. Chemistry Facilitation oracceleration of one chemical process due to the presence or action ofanother.6. The body part of a four-footed animal that connects thehindquarters to the forequarters.

BEARINGS

Description

A bearing is a machine element that constrains relative motion to only thedesired motion, and reduces friction between moving parts. The design ofthe bearing may, for example, provide for free linear movement of themoving part or for free rotation around a fixed axis; or, it may prevent amotion by controlling the vectors of normal forces that bear on the movingparts. Many bearings also facilitate the desired motion as much aspossible, such as by minimizing friction. Bearings are classified broadlyaccording to the type of operation, the motions allowed, or to thedirections of the loads (forces) applied to the parts

AUTOMATION COMPONENT

Description

Automation or automatic control, is the use of various control systems foroperating equipment such as machinery, processes in factories, boilersand heat treating ovens, switching in telephone networks, steering andstabilization of ships, aircraft and other applications with minimal orreduced human intervention.
